Work with me

Are your struggling with SAT or Act Reading? Are you tired of being merely told to “read more”? Have you spent months…or even years trying to improve, but that score is just stuck?

Well, you are in the right place.

I’m Michelle Rotteau, and I have helped hundreds, possibly thousands of students, mostly international students, achieve their dreams of high SAT and ACT reading scores and entrance to prestigious Universities including Harvard, Princeton, Brown, Columbia, and even Stanford Medical School.

I understand how much harder it is for International Students to achieve on standardized tests such as the SAT, ACT, MCAT, TOEFL, and IELTS because it has been my life’s work since 2001 when I moved to South Korea to teach English and started teaching the SAT.

Immediately, I was shocked about how little guidance there was for the Reading section. I mean, the big names in test prep would have 900-page study guide, and a measly 30 pages would be devoted to the Reading section!

Why you need a high Reading Score

Reading is the most important skill you will need to be successful in university and I am passionate about creating skilled and successful readers who can not only crush the SAT/ACT reading sections, but can overcome the mountain of reading required at top 50 American universities.

What you need

For years, I watched and waited for materials that would truly help International students. And some great stuff has been produced, but it didn’t satisfy a student whose first language was English. So, in 2017, I started writing my series, International Tester’s Guide to SAT Reading and Published volumes 1 (Literature Passages) and 2 (Global Conversation Passages.)

These books have helped hundreds of students

I just want to thank you sincerely for always listening to my complaints about how much I hate SAT and school and at the same time teaching most of what I know today. I honestly think that if it wasn’t for you there helping me every step of the way, I wouldn’t have been able to get up to where I am now. H. MOON, EMORY UNIVERSITY

I found your SAT literature guide super helpful. I think reading it the night before helped me achieve my 36 on the Reading portion of the ACT. C. KNAPP

  1. Hello, My son is using both your books on SAT reading. Thank you for the same.

One of the decisions he is planning to make is if it is better to take SAT or ACT. What is your suggestion for him to take based on SAT/ACT Reading and Writing sections. Will preparing for SAT help with ACT also. Since he is strong in Math section, his decision will be bases on your advice

Also, since he is in India, do you by any chance take one-on-one session for him, if so, can you provide some details around the same.

Thank you again for the help to international test takers. I will be recommending your books here in India.
